Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra Region: Red Chili and Onion Prices Drop

Prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (10/27/2025) at 08:01 AM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 10 saw an increase and 14 saw a decrease.

Commodities with increased prices include curly red chili, packaged wheat flour, fresh buffalo meat (local), consumption sugar, and broiler chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as large red chili, skipjack tuna, bulk wheat flour, medium rice, and red cayenne pepper decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Broiler chicken meat saw the highest surge, up Rp4,292 (11.75%) to Rp40,813 per kg. Meanwhile, milkfish prices saw the sharpest drop, down Rp50,000 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
