Today's Food Prices in West Sumatra: Onion, Rice, and Oil Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (16/11/2024) at 12.09 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, skipjack tuna, shallots, premium rice, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as SPHP rice, curly red chilies, bulk cooking oil, garlic bulbs, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish experienced the highest price increase of Rp8,300 (25.99%) to Rp40,230 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of mackerel decreased the most, by Rp2,980 (6.11%) to Rp45,810 per kg.
