KPK Deposits Rp398 Billion in State Revenue in 2023: Here's the Breakdown

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) reported that its non-tax state revenue (PNBP) reached Rp398.7 billion in 2023.

This achievement is equivalent to 281.8% of the PNBP target set last year at Rp141.5 billion.

Despite exceeding the target, KPK's PNBP contribution decreased by 9.3% from the 2022 realization of Rp439.7 billion.

In 2023, confiscated funds from corruption cases contributed the most, namely Rp269.8 billion or 68% of the total KPK PNBP contribution.

This was followed by restitution payments of Rp90.1 trillion and fines of Rp14.2 billion.

Contributions from confiscated goods subsequently auctioned, both from corruption (TPK) and money laundering (TPPU) cases, amounted to Rp10.3 billion throughout last year.

Finally, KPK's PNBP contribution came from gratification reports amounting to Rp4.7 billion.

In addition, the KPK claims to have saved state assets worth Rp525.41 billion in 2023.

"Asset recovery is one of the tangible contributions of corruption eradication to state revenue through PNBP," said Acting KPK Chairman Nawawi Pomolango in a press conference on the KPK's 2023 Performance and Achievements on its YouTube channel, Tuesday (16/1/2024).

He revealed that, apart from corruption case enforcement, the money deposited by the KPK also comes from grants and usage status determinations.

"The KPK can achieve cost efficiency in maintaining confiscated assets, while encouraging these assets to be utilized by other parties," said Nawawi.
