Today's Food Prices in Central Java: Eggs Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (2/5/2024) at 18.20 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are bulk cooking oil, iodized fine salt, broiler eggs, broiler chicken, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean (import), skipjack tuna, medium rice, red chili peppers, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Broiler egg prices surged the highest by Rp280 (1.0%) to Rp28,210 per kg. Meanwhile, milkfish prices decreased the most by Rp2,550 (7.7%) to Rp30,570 per kg.
