As of the end of 2023, State Expenditure Realization Reaches 83%

The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) reported that state expenditure in the State Budget (APBN) reached Rp2,588.2 trillion by December 12, 2023.

This expenditure has been realized at 83.03% of the revised APBN target in Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 75 of 2023, which has a total budget of Rp3,117.2 trillion.

Therefore, there is approximately Rp529 trillion remaining in the budget that the government can spend by the end of the year.

By component, as of December 12, 2023, the realization of central government expenditure (BPP) reached Rp1,840 trillion or 81.9% of its total budget. This figure consists of the realization of ministry/agency (K/L) expenditure and non-K/L expenditure.

The largest government expenditure was ministry/agency (K/L) spending, amounting to Rp946.1 trillion, while the realization of non-K/L spending was Rp894.3 trillion.

Then there is the realization of expenditure for transfers to regions (TKD) amounting to Rp747.8 trillion.

As of December 12, 2023, state revenue reached Rp2,553.2 trillion or 96.8% of the revised APBN target.

This revenue being less than expenditure resulted in an APBN deficit of Rp35 trillion, equivalent to 0.17% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
