East Java Food Prices on Monday (June 3rd): Sugar and Onion Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (June 3rd, 2024) at 12:48 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased in price and 11 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include dried soybean (import), bulk cooking oil, red chili peppers, medium-grain rice, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, bulk wheat flour, mackerel, broiler chicken, and garlic cloves decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili peppers saw the highest price increase of Rp1,550 (6.06%), reaching Rp27,110 per kg. Milkfish had the lowest price decrease of Rp1,400 (4.29%), reaching Rp31,220 per kg.
