Today''s Food Prices in D.I. Yogyakarta Region: Rice, Red Chili, and Sugar Prices Rise

Prices of several food commodities in D.I. Yogyakarta today were observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (September 22, 2025) at 12:11 PM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 17 increased and 5 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices are mackerel, shallots, red bird''s eye chili, consumption sugar, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as pure beef, packaged cooking oil, dried soybean seeds (imported), premium rice, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Consumption salt prices saw the highest increase of Rp532 (4.41%) to Rp12,607 per kg. Meanwhile, pure beef prices experienced the deepest decline of Rp1,700 (1.26%) to Rp133,182 per kg.

9. Shallots: Rp34,200 per kg (up 3.14%)
