Latest Indonesian Food Prices: Rice Up, Chilies Down

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (11/10/2024) at 09.05 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are iodized fine salt, dry soybean (import), chicken eggs, mackerel, and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as wheat flour (bulk), milkfish, garlic cloves, SPHP rice, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel prices surged the highest by Rp1,210 (3.26%) to Rp38,270 per kg. Meanwhile, milkfish prices decreased the most sharply by Rp1,370 (4.11%) to Rp31,950 per kg.

6. Milkfish: Rp31,950 per kg (down 4.11%)
7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,690 per kg (down 2.23%)
8. Curly Red Chili Peppers: Rp29,540 per kg (down 2.7%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp28,610 per kg (up 0.28%)
10. Shallots: Rp28,540 per kg (down 0.66%)
