Current Food Prices in Central Java: Rice, Salt, and Sugar Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (19/12/2024) at 10:40 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, broiler chicken, corn at the farmer level, dry soybean (import), and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, red chilies, simple packaged cooking oil, milkfish, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase, jumping by Rp460 (4.22%) to Rp11,370 per kg. Red onion prices saw the steepest decline, dropping by Rp1,590 (4.24%) to Rp35,930 per kg.

9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,230 per kg (down 1.72%)
