South Sumatra Food Prices Today: Oil Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Sunday (20/10/2024) at 08.28 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include iodized fine salt, broiler chicken meat, simple packaged cooking oil, dry soybean (import), and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, shallots, garlic bulbs, red chilies, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of milkfish increased the most, by Rp2,950 (10.91%) to Rp30,000 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of shallots decreased the most sharply, by Rp2,330 (8.87%) to Rp23,940 per kg.
