West Java, the Province Receiving the Most Food Social Assistance in 2023

West Java had the highest number of Beneficiary Family Recipients (KPM) of Social Assistance (Bansos) for Food in 2023.

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded that the realization of KPM Bansos Pangan in West Java reached 22.18 million families throughout last year. This figure is equivalent to 21.51% of the national KPM Bansos Pangan, totaling 103.1 million families.

The provinces with the next highest number of realized KPM Bansos Pangan were Central Java with 18.02 million families, East Java with 17.2 million families, Lampung with 4.06 million families, and North Sumatra with 3.92 million families.

Following these were South Sulawesi with 3.45 million KPM Bansos Pangan families, Banten with 2.85 million families, West Nusa Tenggara with 2.8 million families, and Aceh and South Sumatra with 2.78 million and 2.71 million families respectively.

The total value of Food Bansos provided to the Indonesian people reached Rp43.69 trillion throughout 2023.

This value is lower than the initial plan of Rp44.75 trillion, but 2.89% higher than the 2022 realization, which was Rp42.46 trillion.
