Chicken Meat Prices in Traditional Markets for the Period April 2025-2026

Quoting from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 12:44 WIB, the daily chicken meat price in traditional markets in North Sulawesi province was observed to drop by Rp650 compared to the previous day to Rp32,700 per kg.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily chicken meat price in traditional markets has decreased from the previously recorded Rp38,750 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily chicken meat price in traditional markets in North Sulawesi over the past three months has fallen by 18.05%. According to historical food price records in the PIHPS price panel, the daily chicken meat price in traditional markets in North Sulawesi province was traded at Rp39,900 per kg.

The record increase in daily chicken meat prices in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in November 2016 with an increase of 216.67%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in November 2016 with a decrease of -68.42%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine staple foods (sembako) in North Sulawesi show that 13 commodities have decreased and 11 others have increased. The sembako with decreasing prices are Super I Quality Rice, Branded Packed Cooking Oil Type 2, Chicken Meat, Fresh Broiler Chicken Meat, Curly Red Chili, Large Red Chili, Red Chili, Local Granulated Sugar, Medium-sized Shallots, Shallots, Super II Quality Rice, Cooking Oil, and Rice.

Below are the prices of nine staple foods monitored by PIHPS today compared to price developments in the last month in North Sulawesi province:

5. Chicken Meat per Kg: Rp38,900 per kg (down 11.59%)
6. Beef per Kg: Rp145,200 per kg (unchanged)
7. Fresh Broiler Chicken Meat per Kg: Rp38,900 per kg (down 11.59%)
8. Quality 1 Beef per Kg: Rp147,400 per kg (unchanged)
9. Premium Quality Granulated Sugar per Kg: Rp19,900 per kg (up 1.27%)
10. Bird's Eye Chili per Kg: Rp77,500 per kg (up 24.8%)
11. Branded Packed Cooking Oil Type 1 per Kg: Rp19,850 per kg (up 1.02%)
12. Curly Red Chili per Kg: Rp57,150 per kg (down 4.27%)
13. Green Bird's Eye Chili per Kg: Rp80,500 per kg (up 17.95%)
14. Lower I Quality Rice per Kg: Rp16,600 per kg (up 4.4%)
15. Large Red Chili per Kg: Rp91,800 per kg (down 7.27%)
