Latest Food Prices in East Java: Prices of Oil, Chilies, and Eggs Drop

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (31/01/2025) at 13.54 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 8 commodities increased in price and 15 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, skipjack tuna, whole garlic cloves, iodized fine salt, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, packaged wheat flour, milkfish, large red chilies, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping by Rp773 (1.53%) to Rp51,379 per kg. Shallots saw the steepest price drop, decreasing by Rp825 (2.66%) to Rp30,155 per kg.
