These Are the Most Highlighted Child Welfare Issues Worldwide in 2023

A number of child welfare issues have been highlighted by many people around the world. The most prevalent is poverty, which significantly impacts children's lives.

This aligns with findings from Ipsos Global in collaboration with World Vision International, titled *Not Enough, Global Perceptions on Child Hunger and Malnutrition*, 2023 edition. This issue was selected by 21% of respondents from 16 countries worldwide.

Hunger ranked second as the biggest child welfare problem, chosen by 18% of respondents.

"Hunger is a global problem, not confined to any one country or part of the world. A life of sufficiency for every child is possible, yet every day more children go hungry," wrote the President and CEO of World Vision International in their report.

Respondents also highlighted issues such as health, access to education, violence and conflict, and the impact of climate change.

Meanwhile, respondents concerned about child welfare issues such as economic inequality, access to clean water, gender equality, and migration had a smaller proportion.

The Ipsos survey involved 14,131 adult respondents across 16 countries. The online survey was conducted from August 16 to September 21, 2023.
