The Metro Jaya Police will conduct Operation Zebra Jaya from September 18 to October 1, 2023. This operation is specifically designed to improve safety and order on the roads within the Metro Jaya Police jurisdiction in anticipation of the 2024 General Election.
Fifteen traffic regulations will be enforced, ranging from vehicle documentation to driver behavior.
Violators will face varying fines, based on Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation.
The most serious violation, carrying a maximum fine of Rp1,000,000, is driving without a driver's license (SIM).
Below is a list of the 15 traffic violations targeted during Operation Zebra Jaya 2023 and their corresponding fines based on Law No. 22/2009:
1. Driving without a driver's license (SIM): Rp1,000,000
2. Driving under the influence of alcohol: Rp750,000
3. Using a mobile phone while driving: Rp750,000
4. Driving against traffic flow: Rp500,000
5. Driving a vehicle without a vehicle registration certificate (STNK): Rp500,000
6. Speeding: Rp500,000
7. Violating road markings: Rp500,000
8. Using unregistered license plates: Rp500,000
9. Driving an unroadworthy vehicle: Rp250,000
10. Driving a vehicle without standard equipment: Rp250,000
11. Using a rotator light inappropriately: Rp250,000
12. Car driver not using a seat belt: Rp250,000
13. Motorcycle rider carrying more than one passenger: Rp250,000
14. Motorcycle rider not wearing an SNI-standard helmet: Rp250,000
15. Illegal parking: Rp250,000
