Catholics in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) were the most numerous nationally in June 2021.

Catholic adherents in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) constitute the largest population in Indonesia. Based on data from the Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri), the Catholic population in NTT reached 2.94 million in June 2021.

This number represents 53.61% of NTT's total population of 5.48 million. The Catholic population in NTT also accounts for 34.93% of the national total of 8.42 million.

West Kalimantan is second with 1.21 million Catholic residents. Following is Papua with 676,710 Catholic residents.

In North Sumatra, there are 635,810 Catholic residents. There are 438,130 Catholic residents in Jakarta.

There are also 349,300 Catholic residents in Central Java. The number of Catholic residents in West Java is recorded at 298,650.

Furthermore, there are 276,880 Catholic residents in East Java and 168,000 in East Kalimantan. Meanwhile, there are 165,680 Catholic residents in Yogyakarta.

For information, Indonesia's population reached 272.23 million in June 2021. Of this number, 86.87% are Muslim.

Indonesia's Christian population is recorded at 7.49%. Meanwhile, 3.09% of the Indonesian population are Catholic.
