Prevalence of Undernourishment in Labuhan Batu Selatan Increased by 1.32% in the Last Year

Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the prevalence of food insufficiency (Prevalence of Undernourishment/PoU) in Labuhan Batu Selatan Regency, North Sumatra was 6.65% in 2024.

This figure increased by 1.32% from the previous year's 5.33%, while in the last 5 years, it increased by 2.86%.

The average PoU in Indonesia was 8.27% in 2024. This means that the PoU in Labuhan Batu Selatan Regency is lower than the national average.

According to the National Food Agency (Bapanas), PoU is a condition where a person regularly consumes an insufficient amount of food to meet the energy required for a normal, active, and healthy life.
