Jakarta to Implement Odd-Even License Plate Restrictions on 25 Roads: Here's the List!

Jakarta's DKI provincial government will expand the odd-even license plate traffic restriction policy to 25 roads starting Monday, May 30, 2022, in response to increasing traffic volume in the capital.

Currently, the odd-even system is in effect on 13 roads in DKI Jakarta, implemented since October 25, 2021.

"The odd-even policy is being evaluated for expansion to 25 roads," said DKI Transportation Agency Head Syafrin Liputo, as quoted by Kompas.com on Tuesday, May 24, 2022.

Syafrin stated that the expansion is in accordance with Governor's Regulation No. 88/2019 concerning Odd-Even License Plate Restrictions. The odd-even system will operate from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM and from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

The regulation applies from Monday to Friday. The odd-even system is not in effect on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays. Exemptions apply to police and military vehicles, ambulances, fire trucks, electric vehicles, motorcycles, public transport with yellow license plates, and other emergency vehicles.
