Jeff Bezos' Record-Breaking Divorce: How Much Was It Worth?

Jeff and MacKenzie Bezos' divorce is crowned the most expensive in the world of all time. The founder of the e-commerce company Amazon, Jeff Bezos, had to give 4% of the company's shares, worth more than US$35 billion or Rp 497.07 trillion, to his ex-wife when they separated in 2019 (US$1 = Rp 14,202).

The next most expensive divorce is that of Alec and Jocelyn Wildenstein. Art dealer and racehorse owner Alec Wildenstein had to give his ex-wife US$3.8 billion in 1999. His ex-wife was nicknamed "Catwoman" because of her frequent plastic surgeries.

Then, there's the US$1.7 billion divorce of Rupert and Anna Murdoch. The media mogul divorced his ex-wife in 1999.

Next, the US$1.3 billion divorce case of Bill and Sue Gross. The prominent American investor not only fought over their assets but also their pet cat.
