Based on the SiPongi forest and land fire monitoring system from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK), monitoring over the last 24 hours detected 371 hotspots across Indonesia. This count increased by 14 hotspots compared to the previous period.

This data was obtained from Terra/Aqua, SNPP, and NOAA satellite imagery accessed on Friday (12/06/2026) at 11:39 WIB. Of the 371 detected hotspots: 7 have high confidence level, 358 medium confidence, and 6 low confidence.

Hotspot confidence is divided into 3 tiers: low (0-29), medium (30-79), high (80-100). Higher hotspot confidence indicates greater likelihood of forest/land fire occurrence in the area.

The highest number of hotspots were recorded in South Sumatra (50 points), followed by East Kalimantan (43) and East Nusa Tenggara (34).

North Maluku registered 29 hotspots, Southeast Sulawesi 21, while Jambi and Central Sulawesi recorded 21 and 19 hotspots respectively.

Hotspots are coordinate points with higher surface temperature than surrounding areas, they do not represent total fire incidents.

However, clustered high hotspot counts indicate active forest/land fires. Satellite-detected hotspot data remains the most effective method for monitoring large-scale wildfire events.
