The Human Trafficking Crime Task Force (Satgas TPPO) received 757 reports between June 5 and August 14, 2023. Based on these reports, the Indonesian National Police (Polri) arrested and named 901 individuals as suspects in human trafficking cases.

This was followed by the exploitation of child workers and exploitation of seafarers (ABK), with 59 and 9 cases respectively.

Due to the high number of human trafficking cases, the Indonesian National Police issued a warning to the public to be wary of job offers abroad with high salaries.

"We urge the public not to be easily tempted by offers of high-paying jobs, both domestically and internationally," said Ramadhan, as reported by *Kompas.com* on Monday, June 21, 2023.

The Indonesian National Police also urged the public to ensure that any employment agencies offering jobs are officially registered.
