Of the 2.82 million workers in managerial positions, 33.08% are women. This figure increased by 2.71% compared to the previous year, which was 30.37%.
However, the proportion of women in managerial positions still lags behind men, which stands at 66.2%. Yet, women's presence in managerial positions indicates their ability to fully participate and have equal leadership opportunities in the workplace.
By region, the proportion of women in managerial positions in urban areas is 33.1%. Meanwhile, in rural areas, the proportion of women holding managerial positions is 33.03%.
By sector, the highest proportion of women in managerial positions is in the service sector, at 37.9%. The proportion of women in managerial positions in the industrial sector is 20.5%, while in the agricultural sector it is 20.08%.
