According to the World Happiness Report 2026 released by Gallup, Finland is the country where its citizens are the happiest in the world.
Gallup regularly surveys public happiness in various countries, with approximately 1,000 respondents per country per year.
The respondents are asked to evaluate and score their living conditions, with a score of 0 representing the worst conditions, and a score of 10 representing the best conditions.
The higher the score, the happier the respondents are assumed to be.
As a result, Finland scored 7.76 points, the highest among the 147 countries surveyed.
Other countries that made the top 10 happiest list include Iceland, Denmark, Costa Rica, Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, Israel, Luxembourg, and Switzerland, as shown in the chart.
