Proportion of Early Childhood Population in 38 Provinces of Indonesia, March 2025

According to data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS), there were approximately 31 million Indonesian residents categorized as early childhood children in March 2025.

This group of children aged 0-6 years accounts for 11.08% of the total national population.

Based on their age groups, 72.19% of early childhood children in Indonesia are aged 0-4 years, and 28.81% are aged 5-6 years.

In March 2025, South Papua had the highest proportion of early childhood population, while the lowest figure was in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DI Yogyakarta).
