2024 National Complete Basic Immunization Coverage, Yogyakarta Tops

A report from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) shows that only 63.69% of infants aged 12-23 months received complete basic immunization in 2024. This achievement is a slight increase of 0.11 percentage points from 2023, which was 63.58%.

Complete basic immunization is a package of immunizations that must be given to children before their first birthday. This includes one Bacillus Calmette Guerin (BCG) immunization; three hepatitis B immunizations; three diphtheria, pertussis, and tetanus (DPT) immunizations; three measles immunizations, and three polio immunizations.

In 2024, Yogyakarta Special Region had the highest national achievement for complete basic immunization, reaching 85.58%.

Meanwhile, the lowest achievement was in Aceh, with only 25.88%. It was followed by Central Papua with 34.60% and West Sumatra with 39.76%.
