Based on the SiPongi forest and land fire monitoring system from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK), monitoring over the past 24 hours detected 507 hotspots across Indonesia. This number increased by 66 points compared to the previous period.

Data was obtained from Terra/Aqua, SNPP, and NOAA satellite imagery accessed on Thursday, 25 June 2026 at 11:04 WIB. Of the 507 detected hotspots: 5 had high confidence level, 488 medium confidence, and 14 low confidence.

Hotspot confidence is classified into 3 scales: low (0-29), medium (30-79), high (80-100). Higher confidence value indicates greater probability of active forest/land fire in the area.

Most hotspots were recorded in Central Sulawesi (79 points), followed by West Kalimantan (65) and South Kalimantan (51).

37 hotspots were detected in South Sulawesi, 32 in East Kalimantan, 28 in North Maluku, and 25 in West Nusa Tenggara.

Hotspots are coordinate points showing higher surface temperature than surrounding areas; they do not equal the total number of fire incidents.

However, clustered high hotspot counts indicate active forest/land fires. Satellite-detected hotspot data remains the most effective method for monitoring fires over large territorial areas.
