In addition, there were 141,724 non-permanent teachers (GTT) in regencies/cities and 13,328 GTT at the provincial level.

Meanwhile, only 1.5 million teachers held civil servant (PNS) status, or 52% of the total number of teachers in Indonesia in 2022.
