Ministry of Transportation spokesperson Adita Irawati urged the public to be aware of the potential surge in the number of travelers during the 2022 Eid al-Fitr holiday.

"This is something that needs to be anticipated, considering that the figure of 85.5 million is not a small number and we haven't had this homecoming tradition for two years," said Adita, as reported by *Kompas.com* on Friday (April 8).

The Ministry of Transportation predicts that the peak of the homecoming exodus will occur on April 29-30, 2022, from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM. The peak of the return flow is predicted for May 8, 2022, at the same time.
