Serial killings occur in various parts of the world. According to WorldAtlas, the United States (US) had the highest number of serial killers in the world until 2020, at 3,204 individuals.

The average age of serial killers in the US is 33 years old. The most common methods used by serial killers in the US are shooting, strangulation, poisoning, and stabbing.

Two well-known serial killers in the US are David Berkowitz and Edmund Kemper. David Berkowitz shot six people and injured seven others. Meanwhile, Edmund Kemper killed more than eight people, including his own family.

The United Kingdom ranks second with the highest number of serial killers in the world, at 166 individuals. It is followed by South Africa with 117 serial killers.

There are 106 serial killers in Canada. Italy and Germany each have 97 and 96 serial killers, respectively.

Furthermore, there are 85 serial killers in Germany. There are 80 serial killers in India. Meanwhile, the number of serial killers in Russia reaches 73.
