Here are the 10 Provinces with the Highest Number of Residents with the Status of "Living Separately"

Based on data from the Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri), there were 3.97 million people with the marital status of "living divorced" by the end of June 2021. This number is equivalent to 1.46% of Indonesia's total population of 272.29 million.

Of the 10 provinces with the highest number of people with a divorced status, five are located in Java. Two provinces are in Sumatra, one in Nusa Tenggara, one in Sulawesi, and one in Kalimantan.

East Java has the highest number of people with a living divorced status nationally, reaching 829,140 or 2.02% of East Java's total population of 40.99 million.

West Java has 825,250 people with a living divorced status, or 1.73% of its total population of 47.59 million. In Central Java, there are 691,250 people with a living divorced status, or 1.86% of its total population of 37.23 million.

Furthermore, there are 159,290 people with a living divorced status in Jakarta, or 1.42% of its total population of 11.25 million. Banten has 144,270 people with a living divorced status, or 1.22% of its total population of 11.79 million.

North Sumatra has 113,940 people with a living divorced status, or 0.75% of its total population of 15.18 million. In West Nusa Tenggara, 109,700 people have a living divorced status, or 2.03% of its total population of 5.4 million.

South Sulawesi has 109,260 people with a living divorced status, or 1.19% of its total population of 9.19 million. Meanwhile, in South Kalimantan and West Sumatra, the number of people with a living divorced status is 84,100 (2.05%) and 80,680 (1.44%), respectively.
