The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 38 districts/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 0.3 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Sunday, June 5, 2022.
The five districts/cities with the highest inpatient utilization, exceeding 0.84 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Sorong, Madiun City, Teluk Bintuni, Blitar City, and South Halmahera, with respective values of 3.12 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.68 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.45 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.38 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 0.84 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient utilization in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A higher than previous daily inpatient utilization was recorded in one district/city, while 10 districts/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Sorong, Teluk Bintuni, and South Halmahera, with inpatient utilization rates of 3.12 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.45 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 0.84 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
