The highest increase in confirmed positive Covid-19 cases in West Java currently occurred in Bandung City, with 1.7 cases per 100,000 population per week as of Wednesday, December 22, 2021. This figure is 0 cases higher than the second-highest region.
Furthermore, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, seven regencies/cities in this province recorded no increase in confirmed Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population per week.
However, despite being the highest, the Covid-19 transmission rate in Bandung City has decreased compared to the previous week, which was at two cases per 100,000 population per week.
Next in second place is Cirebon. This region recorded weekly confirmed cases reaching 1.6 cases per 100,000 population. Compared to the previous week, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases this week is still higher, meaning there is no improvement yet.
Still in the top five, besides the two regions mentioned above, are Depok City, Bekasi City, and West Bandung. Each recorded weekly confirmed cases of 1.5 cases, 0.6 cases, and 0.5 cases, respectively.
According to the Ministry of Health's list, the next five regencies/cities in the top 10 are Bogor, Bandung, Sumedang, and Bogor City. These regions recorded an average increase of more than 0.4 cases per 100,000 population.
Other information from today's daily Covid-19 data statistics is that there are 108 regencies/cities in Indonesia that recorded a higher increase compared to the previous week, and 155 other regencies/cities that recorded lower weekly confirmations than the previous week.
Meanwhile, according to the Ministry of Health, yesterday's Covid-19 data showed that there were 301 regencies/cities in Indonesia that did not record any confirmed Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population per week.
