Top 10 Regencies/Cities in Indonesia with the Highest Number of Covid-19 Agglomeration-Related Deaths Nationwide (Thursday, June 30, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 26 regencies/cities with an agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 exceeding the national average, currently recorded at 0.01 per 100,000 population per week, data as of Thursday, June 30, 2022.

The five regencies/cities with the highest agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19, exceeding 0.27 per 100,000 population per week, are Pulang Pisau (0.78 per 100,000 population per week), Takalar (0.33 per 100,000 population per week), Purworejo (0.28 per 100,000 population per week), Manggarai (0.28 per 100,000 population per week), and Labuhanbatu Utara (0.27 per 100,000 population per week).

The national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 in most regencies/cities outside Java. Ten regencies/cities recorded a higher daily agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 than previously recorded.

Areas outside Java with the highest agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 include Pulang Pisau (0.78 per 100,000 population per week), Takalar (0.33 per 100,000 population per week), and Manggarai (0.28 per 100,000 population per week).

Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distancing, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
