As of Saturday, August 13, 2022, the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination coverage in Maluku Province has reached 66.78 percent. This equates to 1.08 million vaccine recipients out of a target of 1.61 million people. Meanwhile, the second dose vaccination has reached 42.54 percent of the target.
Based on target groups, the details of the vaccination to combat the Covid-19 virus in this province are as follows: The health workforce group had a target of 14,260 recipients. For the first dose, vaccination was successfully carried out for 14,260 people (115.99 percent of the target), and for the second dose, 108.87 percent or 15,520 people were vaccinated.
For public sector workers, the target was 174,710 people. The first dose vaccination reportedly reached 115,140 people (65.9 percent of the target), and the second dose reached 53.62 percent, or 93,680 people.
For the elderly, the target was 127,310 people. For the first dose, 71,840 people were vaccinated (56.43 percent of the target). The second dose reached only 34.9 percent, or 44,430 people.
For the vulnerable general public, the target was 885,530 people. For the first dose, vaccination was reportedly given to 627,040 people (71.07 percent of the target). The second dose reached only 43.41 percent, or 383,760 people.
For adolescents aged 12-17 years, the target was 215,890 people. For the first dose, 173,930 people were vaccinated (80.57 percent of the target). The second dose reached only 51.01 percent, or 110,130 people.
