Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest National Inpatient Utilization (Thursday, June 30, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 39 districts/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 0.72 patients per 100,000 population/week (data as of Thursday, June 30, 2022).

The five districts/cities with the highest inpatient utilization, exceeding 2.14 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Sorong, Palangkaraya City, South Tangerang City, South Jakarta City, and Tangerang City, with respective values of 5.21 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2.7 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2.14 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2.14 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 2.14 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.

National Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient utilization in most districts/cities outside Java. Daily inpatient utilization higher than previously recorded was observed in 12 districts/cities, while eight districts/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.

Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Sorong, Palangkaraya City, and Banjarbaru City, with respective inpatient utilization rates of 5.21 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2.7 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 1.79 patients per 100,000 population/week.

Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
