As of Monday, May 15, 2023, a total of 68.82 million doses of COVID-19 booster vaccines have been administered in Indonesia. This represents 37.9% of the national vaccination target of 234.66 million doses. The daily increase in booster vaccinations nationwide yesterday was recorded at 5,915 doses.
West Java remains the province with the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, totaling 15.48 million doses. Within West Java, Bogor Regency has the highest number of booster vaccine recipients with 1.59 million doses. This is followed by Bandung Regency (1.1 million doses), Bekasi City (980,600 doses), Bekasi Regency (968,050 doses), Cianjur Regency (912,880 doses), and Bandung City (899,030 doses).
East Java is in second place with 9.4 million booster vaccine doses administered. Surabaya City has the highest number of recipients within East Java, with 1.31 million doses.
Central Java is in third place with 8.59 million booster vaccine doses administered. This is followed by Jakarta, North Sumatra, and Banten, with 5.36 million, 4.2 million, and 3 million booster vaccine doses administered respectively.
