The global research firm Ipsos reports that mental health is a top priority for many people worldwide.
This aligns with their findings showing that citizens in several countries tend to want to do more to maintain their mental health. The global average reaches 80%.
*Databoks* sampled the top 25 countries in their research. Nigeria ranks first, with 95% of respondents stating they would do more to maintain their mental health.
Second is Kenya, with 94%. Third is Panama, with 92%.
Fourth and fifth are Zambia and Guatemala, both with 91%.
Indonesia ranks sixth, with 90%. The remaining countries are shown in the graph and list below.
The survey involved 48,579 adults aged 16-75 in 50 countries. They were given the option to agree or disagree with the statement, "I need to do more to maintain my mental health."
Respondents were interviewed online from September 23 to November 14, 2022.
