Banten's Star-Rated Hotels' TPK Index Rose 8.61 Points in October 2021

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded that the Hotel Room Occupancy Rate (HROR) for star-rated hotels in Banten Province reached 49.08% in October 2021. This figure is up 8.61 points compared to the previous month, which was 40.47%.

Compared to the same month last year, the HROR for star-rated hotels in October 2021 increased by 10.8 points. This increase in HROR was due to increased room occupancy in almost all star-rated hotel classes in Banten, except for five-star hotels, which decreased by 6.15 points.

By hotel classification, four-star hotels had the highest HROR in October 2021 at 55.59%, followed by one-star hotels at 50.8%. Meanwhile, five-star hotels had the lowest HROR in Banten at only 22.95%.

The average length of stay (ALOS) for both foreign and domestic tourists at star-rated hotels during October 2021 reached 1.47 days, down 0.06 points compared to the previous month, which was recorded at 1.53 days. Compared to the same month last year, the combined ALOS decreased by 0.07 points.

The ALOS for foreign tourists was longer than for domestic tourists. In October 2021, the ALOS for foreign tourists was 2.77 days, while for domestic tourists it was 1.35 days.
