Ukraine recorded the highest increase in COVID-19 deaths in Europe, with weekly growth reaching 77.78 percent. Worldometer recorded 16 deaths in the country, a 23.81 percent increase compared to the previous day.
Montenegro follows in second place. Compared to the previous week, deaths in this country grew by 40 percent, with a reported seven deaths. Daily statistics show a 133.33% increase in deaths compared to the previous day, which saw three deaths.
Next, deaths in Portugal increased by 35.29%, deaths in Russia increased by 28.78%, and Germany recorded 658 deaths (up 9.67%).
Looking at the number of reported deaths, the highest number of deaths in the last seven days in Europe occurred in Germany, with 658 deaths. Death reports in this country increased by 9.67% compared to the previous week. Following Germany, Russia recorded 622 deaths (up 28.78%), Italy recorded 528 deaths (down 19.39%), Spain recorded 350 deaths (up 7.36%), and the UK recorded 343 deaths (down 35.4%).
The total number of deaths in Europe over the past seven days was 3,865. This accounts for 29.42 percent of global deaths caused by the COVID-19 virus, totaling 13,136 deaths. The number of deaths in Europe decreased compared to the previous seven-day accumulation of 4,189 deaths.
