Several districts/cities in North Sulawesi province still record a relatively low second-dose vaccination rate compared to other regions. Some of these districts/cities include Bolaang Mongondow Selatan Regency, Bolaang Mongondow Regency, and Kepulauan Sangihe Regency.
As of yesterday, in the vaccination program, these three regencies had only completed 86,377 second doses out of the expected target of 361,070 vaccine recipients.
Bolaang Mongondow Selatan Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, the second-dose vaccination rate in this region was only 21.6%. This is the lowest compared to the other 15 districts/cities. The first-dose vaccination rate, however, has reached 64%, with 45,482 vaccine recipients.
The vaccination program in this regency targets 52,609 participants. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Bolaang Mongondow Selatan last week was 425 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 3,854 doses.
Next is Bolaang Mongondow Regency. For the second dose, this regency has the second-lowest rate. With a target of 194,830 vaccine recipients, only 21.6% or 42,177 recipients have been vaccinated.
The first-dose vaccination rate has reached 54.9%, with 149,800 vaccine recipients. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Bolaang Mongondow last week was 1,229 participants. The currently available vaccine stock is 41,626 doses.
Lastly, Kepulauan Sangihe Regency is ranked third. With a target of 113,630 vaccine recipients, only 28.9% or 32,819 recipients have received the second dose. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Kepulauan Sangihe last week was 648 participants. The currently available vaccine stock is 24,735 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first-dose vaccination rate in North Sulawesi has reached 70.48%, with 1.47 million vaccine recipients. The second-dose vaccination rate has reached 42.28%, covering 879,800 vaccine recipients.
