Several districts/cities in South Sumatra province still record a relatively low level of second-dose vaccination compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include Empat Lawang Regency, Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan Regency, and Ogan Komering Ulu Timur Regency.
As of yesterday, these three regencies had only completed 266,120 second doses of the vaccine, out of a target of 1.07 million vaccine recipients.
Empat Lawang Regency has the lowest rate. As of yesterday, only 17.8% of the target population in this region had received their second dose, the lowest among the 17 districts/cities. The first dose, however, has reached 81.8%, with 263,040 vaccine recipients.
The vaccination program in this regency targets 263,670 participants. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Empat Lawang last week was 3,042 participants. Currently, there are 61,248 doses of vaccine in stock.
Next is Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan Regency. This regency has the second-lowest rate for the second dose. With a target of 313,120 vaccine recipients, only 18.3% or 57,425 participants have received their second dose.
The first dose has reached 79.1%, with 305,760 vaccine recipients.
Finally, Ogan Komering Ulu Timur Regency is ranked third. With a target of 489,960 vaccine recipients, only 33% or 161,830 participants have received their second dose.
At the provincial level, the total first-dose vaccination in South Sumatra has reached 59.34%, with 3.74 million vaccine recipients. The second dose has reached 35.35%, covering 2.23 million vaccine recipients.
