The Indonesian Ministry of Health reported that 70.03 million doses of COVID-19 booster vaccines had been administered in Indonesia as of Wednesday, March 8, 2023. This figure represents 29.84 percent of the national COVID-19 vaccination target of 234.66 million doses. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the daily increase in COVID-19 booster vaccinations nationwide yesterday reached four doses.
Based on province, West Java still holds the top position nationally with the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, reaching 15.8 million doses. Bogor Regency had the highest number of booster vaccine recipients in West Java, with 1.62 million doses. This is followed by Bandung Regency (1.11 million), Bekasi City (1.01 million), Bekasi Regency (998,200), Cianjur Regency (928,730), and Bandung City (918,390).
East Java is in second place, with 9.56 million booster vaccines administered. Surabaya City had the highest number of booster vaccine recipients in this province, with 1.33 million doses.
Central Java is in third place with 8.73 million booster vaccines administered. This is followed by DKI Jakarta (5.44 million doses), North Sumatra (4.29 million doses), and Banten (3.06 million doses).
