The Indonesian Ministry of Health reported that 69.89 million doses of booster vaccines have been administered in Indonesia as of Tuesday, February 21, 2023. This figure represents 29.78 percent of the national COVID-19 vaccination target. The national COVID-19 vaccination target is recorded at 234.66 million doses.
Based on province, West Java still holds the top position nationally with the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, reaching 15.81 million doses. Within West Java, Bogor Regency has the highest number of residents who have received the COVID-19 booster vaccine, with 1.63 million doses. This is followed by Bandung Regency with 1.11 million doses, Bekasi City with 1.01 million doses, Bekasi Regency with 1 million doses, Cianjur Regency with 931,410 doses, and Bandung City with 913,470 doses.
Next in second place is East Java with 9.53 million doses. In this province, Surabaya City has the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, namely 1.33 million doses.
Central Java is in third place with 8.7 million booster vaccine doses administered. This is followed by DKI Jakarta, North Sumatra, and Banten, with 5.43 million doses, 4.29 million doses, and 3.06 million doses of booster vaccines administered respectively.
