The number of people in Riau Islands who have received their first dose of the vaccine is 1.27 million.

As of Thursday, September 9, 2021, the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination coverage in Riau Islands Province has reached 80.44 percent. This figure is equivalent to 1.27 million vaccine recipients out of a target of 1.58 million people. Meanwhile, the second dose vaccination has reached 39.08 percent of the target as of yesterday.

Based on target groups, the details of the vaccination to combat the Covid-19 virus in this province are as follows: The health workforce group has a target of 14,120 recipients. For the first dose, vaccination was successfully carried out for 14,120 people (116.85 percent of the target), and for the second dose, 109.52 percent or 15,460 people have been vaccinated.

For public service personnel, the target is 128,890 people. The first dose vaccination has reportedly reached 642,730 people (498.65 percent of the target), and the second dose has reached 229.86 percent, or 296,280 people.

For the elderly, the target is 87,130 people. For the first dose, it has been administered to 39,520 people (45.36 percent of the target). For the second dose, only 30.97 percent, or 26,980 people, have been vaccinated.

For the vulnerable general public, the target is 1.14 million people. For the first dose, vaccination has reportedly been administered to 487,390 people (42.94 percent of the target). For the second dose, only 19.07 percent, or 214,770 people, have been vaccinated.

For adolescents aged 12-17 years, the target is 207,660 people. For the first dose, 82,090 people have been vaccinated (39.53 percent of the target). For the second dose, only 29.41 percent, or 61,070 people, have received the vaccine.
