The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 28 districts/cities with a Covid-19 death rate above the national average, currently recorded at 0.01 per 100,000 population per week as of Tuesday, June 14, 2022.
The five districts/cities with the highest Covid-19 death rates, exceeding 0.37 per 100,000 population per week, are Lampung Barat (0.97 per 100,000 population per week), Bulungan (0.74 per 100,000 population per week), Mimika (0.45 per 100,000 population per week), Tasikmalaya City (0.44 per 100,000 population per week), and Poso (0.37 per 100,000 population per week).
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in Covid-19 deaths in most districts/cities outside Java. Five districts/cities recorded a higher daily Covid-19 death rate than previously.
Areas outside Java with the highest Covid-19 death rates include Lampung Barat (0.97 per 100,000 population per week), Bulungan (0.74 per 100,000 population per week), and Mimika (0.45 per 100,000 population per week).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distancing, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
