The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 32 districts/cities with an agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 above the national average, currently recorded at 0.01 per 100,000 population per week, data as of Wednesday, March 8, 2023.
The top five districts/cities with Covid-19 agglomeration death rates exceeding 0.38 per 100,000 population per week are West Sumba (0.73 per 100,000 population per week), South Aceh (0.63 per 100,000 population per week), Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir (0.5 per 100,000 population per week), Central Aceh (0.45 per 100,000 population per week), and Pematangsiantar (0.38 per 100,000 population per week).
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows a decrease in the Covid-19 agglomeration death rate in most districts/cities outside Java. One district/city recorded a higher daily Covid-19 agglomeration death rate than previously, while one district/city recorded a lower rate.
Areas outside Java with the highest Covid-19 agglomeration death rates include West Sumba (0.73 per 100,000 population per week), South Aceh (0.63 per 100,000 population per week), and Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir (0.5 per 100,000 population per week).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
