The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 32 regencies/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 0.31 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Thursday, February 9, 2023.
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient utilization, exceeding 0.94 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Blitar City, Kupang City, Penajam Paser Utara, Palembang City, and Blitar Regency, with respective values of 2.75 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.45 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.24 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.08 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 0.94 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
National Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient utilization in most regencies/cities outside Java. Daily inpatient utilization higher than before was recorded in 10 regencies/cities, while six regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Kupang City, Penajam Paser Utara, and Palembang City, with inpatient utilization rates of 1.45 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.24 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 1.08 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
