The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) notes that 24 regencies/cities have weekly agglomeration tracing rates above the national average, currently recorded at 0.48 percent as of Tuesday, March 7, 2023.
The top five regencies/cities with rates exceeding 15 percent are Surabaya City, Sidoarjo, Balikpapan City, Kendal, and Jambi City, with values of 17.83 percent, 17.83 percent, 16 percent, 15 percent, and 15 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in tracing in most regencies/cities outside Java. Daily tracing figures higher than before were recorded in two regencies/cities, while one regency/city recorded lower tracing.
Areas outside Java with the highest tracing rates include Balikpapan City, Jambi City, and Majene, with tracing rates of 16 percent, 15 percent, and 3 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
