The Indonesian Ministry of Health reported that 68.62 million doses of booster vaccines have been administered in Indonesia as of Sunday, March 12, 2023. This figure represents 29.24 percent of the national COVID-19 vaccination target. The national COVID-19 vaccination target is recorded at 234.66 million doses. The daily increase in COVID-19 booster vaccinations nationwide yesterday was recorded at 11,143 doses.
Based on province, West Java still holds the top position nationally with the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, reaching 15.48 million doses. Bogor Regency has the highest number of booster vaccine recipients in West Java, with 1.6 million doses. This is followed by Bandung Regency (1.1 million doses), Bekasi City (982,490 doses), Bekasi Regency (966,180 doses), Cianjur Regency (912,150 doses), and Bandung City (896,700 doses).
East Java is second with 9.35 million doses. In this province, Surabaya City has the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, namely 1.3 million doses.
Central Java is in third place with 8.54 million booster vaccine doses administered. This is followed by Jakarta, North Sumatra, and Banten with 5.33 million, 4.2 million, and 2.99 million booster vaccine recipients, respectively.
