The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 114 districts/cities with a Covid-19 death rate above the national average, currently recorded at 0.12 deaths per 100,000 population per week, data as of Friday, November 11, 2022.
The five districts/cities with the highest Covid-19 death rates, exceeding 1.81 deaths per 100,000 population per week, are Mahakam Ulu (3.73 deaths per 100,000 population per week), Tana Tidung (3.25 deaths per 100,000 population per week), Prabumulih City (2.54 deaths per 100,000 population per week), Kulon Progo (2.01 deaths per 100,000 population per week), and Tomohon City (1.81 deaths per 100,000 population per week).
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in Covid-19 deaths in most districts/cities outside Java. 16 districts/cities recorded a higher daily Covid-19 death rate than previously, while seven districts/cities recorded lower numbers.
Areas outside Java with the highest Covid-19 death rates include Mahakam Ulu (3.73 deaths per 100,000 population per week), Tana Tidung (3.25 deaths per 100,000 population per week), and Prabumulih City (2.54 deaths per 100,000 population per week).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
